Sharing raw photos can be dangerous anywhere. Borofish strips them right here in your browser — nothing is uploaded, and orientation and colours stay intact.

FAQ

Questions

What is EXIF data?

EXIF is hidden information stored inside a photo by the camera or phone: GPS location, date and time, camera model, lens, serial number and more. Anyone who receives the original file can read it — including where you live.

Are my photos uploaded to a server?

No. Borofish removes metadata directly in your browser. Your photos never leave your device.

Which formats are supported?

JPEG, JPG, PNG and HEIC/HEIF — the default photo format on iPhone.

Does it reduce image quality?

No. Only the metadata is removed; the image is never re-compressed, so every pixel stays exactly the same. Orientation and colour profile are kept, so photos look just like before.

Is Borofish free?

Yes. No sign-up and no limit on the number of photos.
